9 concerts in 7 days, with more than 30 performing artists. These are the figures that bring together in Cortona the world of classical music.

The arrival of the greatest artists of the classical music scene marks the beginning of a rich week of events in unique locations of breathtaking beauty. Concerts, masterclasses open to the public follow one another at a fast pace in a unique cultural experience.

The beating heart of the festival is the prestigious academy for violin, viola and cello which this year attracted more than 300 aspiring candidates from all over the world. With only 12 places available, the selected highly talented young artists are already winners of international competitions. They will participate in the high-level masterclasses, offered to them completely free of charge.

A great coming and going in the small Etruscan village, from the violinist Augustin Hadelich, the name of the moment, unanimously admired by audiences and musicians, to Rinat Shaham, mezzo-soprano known for her famous interpretations of Carmen, up to Steven Isserlis, among the most famous cellists ever.

All eyes are also on new stars, such as the Marmen Quartet, a young string quartet with one of the most interesting careers today, and the Choi sisters, SongHa, violinist awarded last May at the Montreal international competition and HaYoung, winner of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition 2022 cello section.

Nume Festival is the new place for music, a temple of avant-garde classical culture designed for young people where the public experiences a new and regenerating energy.
